The  Certificate in International Business English (Cert IBET) is an internationally recognised qualification. We are accredited by English UK to run the Cert IBET. ​To quote directly from English UK:

"It aims to enhance the skills, expertise and competitiveness of Business English trainers. It is also designed to increase their employability and improve their ability to deliver a quality product to this very specialised group of clients."

The Cert IBET can be completed through a number of different routes, full- or part-time in-person courses, blended offerings and - in our case - by self-directed, distance learning.

Through our model, you will study bite-sized chunks of training content plus complete a range of tasks before moving on to your final assignment. You have 30 units of content to study and complete. This will take you between 50 to 60 hours of study time.

 

We support you to complete the assessed assignment which ultimately leads to you being awarded the Cert IBET.

The course is assessed by a final assignment that is set by English UK and sent to you once you have completed the 30 units of the course. You must choose from one of four assignment options focusing on materials development, lesson planning, scheme of work development and the thinking behind their content and design. The expected word count is 3000 to 4000 words. You have 12 weeks in which to complete your assignment after finishing all units.

Your registration is valid for two years in which time you must complete all modules and assessed assignment.

 

Final assignments are moderated internally by us and externally by LanguageCert (a division of PeopleCert).

You must complete your final assessed assignment within 12 weeks of completing the final course units.
